Fourth of July Celebration – Do’s & Don’ts

The Kensington Grove HOA would like to wish everyone a happy 4th of July! To stay safe on July 4th, it is requested that residents practice proper safety precautions and follow the rules.

WHEN CAN FIREWORKS BE SET OFF?
Refer to the following graphic from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.

NOTE: Fireworks are not to be set off from any Kensington Grove Common Areas or Empty Lots not owned by a homeowner.

LOCATION
In general, consumer fireworks may only be used at special discharge locations:

  • The property of the person using the firework; or
  • The property of another who has given the individual permission to use fireworks on their property.
  • However, please note that a person who sets off fireworks, even in a legal location, may still be held liable for any resulting injuries or damage caused to another person or their property.
  • At Kensington Grove, fireworks are not to be set off from any of the Common Areas or empty lots not owned by a homeowner.

AGE
Fireworks may only be used or possessed by individuals who are 18 or older unless an adult is present and responsible at the location of possession or use.

BE CONSIDERATE
Do your best to not have fireworks and or debris land in your neighbors’ yards or on their homes roofs. Please make sure to clean up any trash and spent fireworks and not leave out on street.
